Bill Connors - President
Bill is a fifth generation Coloradoan. Born in 1950 he attended school in a suburb north of Denver, then the University of Denver and the University of Colorado. He married his Junior High School sweetheart, Terri, has three grown sons and three grandchildren.
Bill joined Baron Investments Ltd. in 1985. Baron merged with Omnivest Financial Services, Inc. in 1990 and Bill was named President. The firm changed its name to Value Financial Advisers, Inc. on January 1, 2005.
Bill has been continuously employed by the adviser since 1985. He continues as President and is also the Chief Compliance Officer. He is a FINRA Registered Representative (Broker) with Broker Dealer Leigh Baldwin & Co., LLC, and has a Life, Health and Accident Insurance license.
Physically active all of his life, Bill grudgingly admits to slowing down. He plays pickleball most weeks and works out regularly. His spare time involves charitable work through church, some golf and playing guitar. Since reading Future Shock in 1969, Bill has been fascinated trying to figure out how the world will evolve and what tomorrow holds. This, he says, is part of why he finds the Investment Industry so intriguing.
Scott Taylor - Vice President
Scott was born in 1957 and raised in Stevensville, MT in the Bitterroot Valley near Missoula. The son of a veterinarian, his roots are from Colorado & Wyoming ranch families. Growing up in rural Montana instilled a lifetime work ethic that started with stacking hay, changing sprinklers and working livestock.
He received a BS in Business and Finance from the University of Montana in 1981. After moving to Colorado he was awarded the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1984. Scott practiced broad-based financial planning for more than a decade, then let his CFP lapse in 1997 to concentrate on investment management.
Scott joined Omnivest Financial Services, Inc. in 1989 and was named Vice President in 1992. The firm changed its name to Value Financial Advisers, Inc. on January 1, 2005. Scott has been continuously employed by the adviser since 1989 where he continues as VP and a member of the Investment Committee.
After 40 + years running western U.S. white water rivers with his own raft, Scott now concentrates on fishing calmer waters. Married for 22 years, he and his wife own a second home near Flathead Lake in Montana.
William C. Mason - Vice President
William was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He received a BS in Business from the University of Colorado in 1978 and a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Denver in 1981. After completing 250 hours of study and passing three six-hour examinations, in 1991 he was awarded Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The Institute for Chartered Financial Analysts is a global not for profit organization dedicated to developing the highest educational and professional standards in the investment industry. CFA’s must agree to abide by a strict code of ethics and conduct.

Phillip Connors - Investment Adviser
Phillip is the son of VFA president, Bill Connors. Born along with his twin brother on July 28, 1980, Phillip proudly carries on the Colorado Native tradition of the Family. After graduating from Smoky Hill High School in 1998, Phillip went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado, University of Colorado, and Kaplan Business School. He recently welcomed his first child, Mia, to the Connors’ Fold.
Phillip joined Value Financial Advisers in 2011. Prior to that Phillip spent 3 years with T. Rowe Price, one of the U.S. 10 largest Mutual Fund Companies, as a retirement specialist inside their ‘High Value’ Department. Phillip earned his FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses and advised and serviced clients across the country regarding investment allocation in their retirement accounts. Phillip has also added his Colorado Life Insurance License this year to be able to meet his client’s needs on a more impactful level.
Phillip continues to be extremely active while not at work. Year round you can find him playing soccer, softball, golf, volleyball, training mixed martial arts or just running around the park. Phillip maintains that being active helps offset the stress of the markets; no wonder he is in such good shape. He also has spent time volunteering as a soccer coach for many different ages. Phillip strives to see improvement and understanding in those he helps, including his clients.
